"I've Seen The City of New Orleans "
A new song from two well known successful songwriters Mary W. Francis and Steven McClintock to do what they can to bring to the attention of the world the serious plight of the hurricane victims everywhere and how important it is to offer financial and moral support.

"Because we wanted to do something for the hurricane relief with this song, we are donating 40 percent (40%) of the profits to go to various hurricane relief agencies.  Our publisher and record label are completely behind our efforts.

The verification of the amount of monies donated will be posted quarterly on the following websites and we will keep this going as long as you continue to support our efforts.

Mary W. Francis, a native Nashvillian, began her writing career at Combine Music (now EMI Music Publishing) in 1978.   Mary had her first major artist cut by Reba McIntire in 1980 on her "Unlimited" album, followed by a #2 single "Whiskey, If You Were a Woman" by Highway 101 and later by the top charting single "Tonight the Heartache's on Me" by the Dixie Chicks on their 11 million selling CD "Wide Open Spaces."  Mary has also had cuts by Joy Lynn White, Johnny Rodriguez, Dixiana, Damon Gray and others.

Steven McClintock, raised in hurricane ravaged Beaumont Texas , has had success as an artist performing with such acts as The Nelsons, Victoria Shaw, Phil Collins, Juice Newton, Carlene Carter, Don Williams and his own duo Fertitta and McClintock.  His songs have been recorded by pop artist Tiffany, Andy Williams, ATC, Sixwire, and The Nelsons to name a few selling over 15,000,000 copies worldwide.

Well….what a difference two years makes!  Lots of stuff going on in all areas.
Let’s start with performing.  Thanks to the success of the new Fertitta and McClintock CD After All This Time, David and I are getting to play more.  We have done two tours of Texas, performed in Nashville Tennessee and Vancouver Washington, and played numerous festivals and clubs spreading the music.  So far so good.  You haven’t heard it?  Pick it up on Itunes, or Amazon.com or at www.37records.com or downloads at Walmart or www.myspace.com/fertittaandmcclintock     ALSO…check out the new website  www.fertittaandmcclintock.com

Production….that’s what has been taking the time.  I am in the final few sessions for Cathy-Anne McClintock’s long awaited debut CD called No Matter What.  She is singing brilliantly and has some special guess that are just making this CD what we always new it could be.  13 songs will be on it and it should be available by mid-September…with any luck and some funding…lol.  Check out her new myspace at www.myspace.com/cathyannemcclintock or www.sonicbids.com/cathyannemcclintock

Brian Stoner was my new project last time we talked and after a year on this, it is finally complete.  It will be on 37 Records www.37records.com  and is on ITUNES, Emusic, Rhapsody and more digital stores.  Last year we got Brian his first film called Kicking It Old Skool with a song called We Are Only Human.  He is currently writing for many other projects including some commercial spots.   www.myspace.com/brianstonermusic

Tumbleweed’s new compilation was a labor of love.  Just clearing all of the songs on it was a major effort.  21 in total…but it came out great with excellent artwork from Creative Ad and Print and strong design by Cathy-Anne.  Can be purchased on Itunes and their myspace for digital downloads of course but also at Amazon.com as well as www.37records.com  www.myspace.com/tumbleweed37

Judy Akin and I finished a great Christmas CD called Seasoned that is available through www.nashvilleIM.com/artist/judyakin  or at www.37records.com/music    Digital downloads available on all the usually sources…Itunes, Walmart, Emusic etc.  This is a great record that should NOT be missed for Christmas.

Lastly on the production side, I am in the studio producing White Apple Tree out of San Diego at my old studio Headway Complex. The band opened for Shiny Toy Guns a few times and I really liked them so decided to take it on…yahoo!!  Ryan Lawhon, the lead singer and writer, and I are producing an entire CD on the group. They are currently on tour in the South as we speak selling EPS and T Shirts.  Check out their myspace…over 1.2 millions listens in a very short time.  www.myspace.com/whiteappletree

McJames Music Inc. and 37 Songs has probably done the most growing in the past two years.  We signed 4 songs from Nashville/Texas songwriter Jennifer Pierce including two Garth Brooks co writes, a sung cut by Janie Frickie, one by Chris Ledoux and the biggy by Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Jr.  The first release of the song was on The Legend of Johnny Cash Volume II….check it out on Amazon.com…make sure it is Volume II.  The song is called That Old Wheel…just a classic.  I am very proud of this one.  We have since had it on several compilations CDS and currently pitching it for a national commercial placement.
McJames had a banner year with Shiny Toy Guns releasing 3 singles and videos off their debut CD called We Are Pilots selling about 300,000 CDs and about 100,000 digital downloads. We also had the songs of STG featured on Dirty Sexy Money, Dancing with the Stars, Brothers and Sisters, Private Practice, America’s Top Model and Ugly Betty.  The same song, Le Disko, was also used in a worldwide release commercial spot for Motorola Razor 2 and for Australian Honda on TV.  The band is currently in the studio creating the second CD for Universal Records.
One of the most fantastic opportunities our company had was signing the incredible lyricist Pamela Phillips Oland.  I have known Pamela for years and loved her work..even wrote a few songs with her.  When I found out she was available I pursued it hard.  She is amazing and her catalog of past cuts is like the Who’s Who in recording.  Cuts by Frank Sinatra, Aretha, Earth Wind and Fire, Selena, Whitney Houston, Anne Murry, Englebert Humperdink, The Commodores, The Imperials, Berlin, The Jacksons, Issac Hayes, The Carpenters, and the list goes on and on.  We get the opportunity to collect on all of these great artist and the songs.  She is also writing a musical, has an option for a TV show she wrote, just finished a novel, and is co writing with some of the best writers in the world.  We sent her to New York last year as well as to Nashville.  She recently flew to the Philipines to celebrate the release of a new single co-write with Richard Carpenter for artist Claire De La Fuente.  The single was number one for 5 weeks! She have had placements so far on Dexter, Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and The Reaper.  www.pamoland.com
McJames Music Inc. and 37 Songs recent covers or releases:  Shiny Toy Guns/You Are The One, Le Disko, Rainy Monday, Judy Akin/One Perfect Christmas, Christmas Needs Love To Be Christmas, Cris Barber/What Is It, Be Sure, Fertitta and McClintock/Until I Fall In Love Again, Be Sure, What Is It, All This Time, If Love Is Blind, Be There By Your Side, Can’t Change Your Mind, Closer to You, I Wish You Knew, Shanna Lynn/ No Matter What They Say, As Long As You Love Me, Julia Harriman/U Got My Attention/, Christian Bradley/ Burning, Anything, Peggy Kinsman/ With This Kiss, But I Do, Now and Then, Wishing On A Star, He Loves Me, I’ll Sing My Song, Juice Newton/ Christmas Needs Love To Be Christmas, Haley Breedlove/ This is Me, I Wanna Live Like That, Everything I Know About Love, Be Love, All the Time, What’s The Difference, I Love You, Diane Chase/ I Wanna Live Like That, Brett Daniels/ I Wanna Live Like That, Heather Wilkens/ I Wanna Live Like That/ April Taylor/ I Wanna Live Like That.

I also got to be the Executive Producer for jazz vocalist Cris Barber on her new CD called This Moment To Be Free.   This is a beautiful record with standards and original songs…it is her time.  Pick it up on www.37records.com or Itunes etc.

More to come folks….a busy year ahead…I will try to keep up better so the info isn’t so overwhelming….for me….lol!!
Steven
